Who We Are

Adult Vocational Service Inc.’s (AVS) is a Day Program serving individuals age 22 and beyond who are eligible for services through Alta California Regional Center.

AVS will provide support and training within the areas of pre-vocational and vocational skills training, functional life skills, self-advocacy, and community integration in the least restrictive environment while maximizing opportunities for inclusion within the community.

We provide a unique day program experience for the clients we serve; utilizing up to date technology, highly trained personnel, current evidence based practices in the form of providing research based intervention and teaching methodologies and a person centered approach to goal development.

The goal of our programming is to transition our clients to competitive
integrated employment and/or gain the skills necessary to transition to a less restrictive living arrangement.

What We Do


Teaching individuals prevocational and vocational skills that enhance their capability of obtaining possible job placement.

Mobile Work Crew
Group Placement

Self Advocacy/Life Skills

Self Advocacy:
Teaching individuals to advocate for themselves by teaching skills needed to control and manage personal resources, being an active planning team member and client rights.

Life Skills:
Teaching individuals advanced activities of daily living in order to increase their overall independence.

Community Integration

Teaching individuals to build relationships with members of the community through structured and functional opportunities in addition to enhancing their social and interpersonal relationships.
